Corporate Social Responsibility
Konica Minolta's environmental policy is to integrate environmental, economic, and social perspectives into our business strategies in order to perform corporate operations in harmony with people and the environment.
Global Eco Vision 2050 for a sustainable earth and society
In January 2009, Konica Minolta formulated Eco Vision 2050 as its long-term environmental vision. This vision guides Konica Minolta in the right direction to achieve its future objectives and fulfill its responsibility as a global corporation by contributing to a sustainable earth and society.
- Reduce CO2 emissions throughout the product life cycle by 80% by 2050, compared to 2005 levels
- Promote recycling and effective use of Earth's limited resources
- Work to promote restoration and preservation of biodiversity
The Clean Planet Recycling Program is Konica Minolta's way of recognizing its responsibility towards the environment. This program processes returned imaging consumables in an environmentally safe and responsible manner. From comprehensive environmental management systems to the energy and resources our products use, it ensures everything we do has awareness of the well-being of the planet. The Clean Planet Recycling Program is a cost-free program that encourages our customers to take a step ahead in reducing our eco-footprint by returning empty toner cartridges and other imaging consumables for recycling.
Konica Minolta in our Communities
At Konica Minolta, we understand the importance of the communities in which we do business and strive to support causes that impact the world around us. We are passionate about giving back and providing an essential connection to our local communities.
In Canada, our employees support charities that enhance the health and well-being of the communities in which we work. Every year, teams of Konica Minolta employees across Canada participate in the CIBC Run for the Cure. Office fundraising events like pancake breakfasts, bake sales (who doesn't enjoy a bake sale?), and selling treats like samosas and Portuguese tarts brings people together in support of our common goal. At head office, we have also supported The Salvation Army Angel Program where our employees donated Christmas gifts for children and families in the City of Mississauga, creating a better holiday season for the children in our community.
Konica Minolta is continuously looking at new ways to improve and contribute to the success of our community through charitable donations, sponsorships and the volunteer efforts of our employees. We strive to create socially responsible changes that benefit the community not only locally, but also globally.
