A Security Consultant will perform vulnerability assessments, penetrations tests and assist clients with securing their infrastructure. A successful candidate will be able to talk about all aspects of security, from software development to network design and configuration best practices. Security Consultants will be expected to be part of pre-sales activities and to assist with day-to-day security operations and analysis.


  • Lead resources in the implementation of technical solutions for an array of clients.
  • Establish project scope and design workflow solutions for our clients while ensuring client satisfaction during the entire process
  • Strive to understand and improve IT Weapons Design and Build standards
  • Participate in IT Weapons training and recommended certification paths
  • Be available to assist your team members 24/7; on call based on rotating team schedule
  • Be an escalation point for the Service Desk and other Consulting teams at IT Weapons
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments, manage priorities, and meet strict deadlines
  • Proven client-facing skills developed in a professional consulting environment
  • Experienced interacting with project stakeholders and vendors
  • Perform vulnerability and penetration testing
  • Perform system audits
  • Perform security assessments
  • Analyze security data and reports

Required Experience

  • 5+ years in networking and security related functions
  • 3 + years implementing security solutions
  • 2 + years of event analysis
  • 2 + years performing Vulnerability Assessment and penetration tests
  • Audit experience is a plus
  • Training experience is a plus
  • This position will require the candidate to successfully obtain clearance under the Government of Canada Controlled Goods Program

  • CISSP is required
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
  • Other network vendor certificates are a plus
  • Other security vendor certificates are a plus
